Product Designer HMI / Automotive Focus: UX (m/f/x)

Your mission

We are entering a multi-year collaboration with a major vehicle manufacturer to design advanced in-vehicle digital experiences. Our work spans early R&D exploration through to production-grade design delivery, supporting several parallel development tracks and working closely with internal product and engineering teams.

Your Tasks

Design intuitive, future-oriented HMI interfaces across multiple (in-vehicle) displays
User Research, create concepts, flows, wireframes and prototypes in close collaboration with cross-functional teams
Deliver high-quality interaction design using Figma and other industry-leading tools
Contribute to design systems and production-ready specifications
Apply AI-assisted tools, automated workflows and creative technologies to enhance design efficiency and exploration.
Explore emerging tools, trends and software in UI/UX, automotive tech and AI-enhanced design workflows.

Your profile

Automotive & HMI Experience (such as Android Automotive OS, infotainment, navigation, ADAS, HMI, connected services, mobility or other future mobility services)
Experience with complex, scaled product development or delivery programs (ideally Automotive & Mobility experience working with OEM, Tier1 or Agency/Consultancy)
Understanding of driver context, cognitive load and specific test conditions
Quality, Safety and Compliance Mindset (Commercial Vehicles HMI ≠ Consumer Apps)
Strong UX, Research or Service Design background designing complex digital products (automotive experience is a plus)
Competence in usability testing + automotive testing setups
Excellent proficiency in Figma and other industry-leading tools

Bonus

Basic familiarity with ISO standards
Experience with commercial vehicles
Experience with automotive UX/UI tools (Kanzi, Altia, Unity, Unreal, Android Auto, CarPlay, etc.)
Ability to handle GDPR-secure workflows
Ability to code or script prototypes
Experience prototyping in VR/AR
